Dispur, March 7: Vaishnavite Guru Shri Shri Aniruddhadev and Mayamora Society have made commendable contributions towards Assamese Society. Shri Shri Aniruddhadev strengthened our society by giving rise to colourless, casteless society. On the other hand Mayamora culture contributed immensely towards invigorating a greater Assamese culture. These were the observations of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal while speaking as the Chief Guest at the 5th General Conference of Mayamora Cultural Society at Kokopathar in Tinsukia today.

Speaking on the occasion Sonowal said that the nation which has a strong cultural idiosyncrasies can go a long way in establishing itself as a unique nation in the world. Our culture is enriched with several ethnicities and tribes. In order to take Assam forward we need to move forward maintaining highest dignity towards our gurus and we need to be motivated for making our society strong with the ideals and philosophies of Shri Shri Sankardev, Madhavdev and Aniruddhadev.

Chief Minister Sonowal said that we need to study the life and works of our gurus. We need to create avenues so that the youths get complete opportunity for blooming their personality. Emphasising that devotion has strength, Sonowal said that those who practise highest degree of devotion can establish himself as the strongest personality. He assured all government help towards setting up of Rural University under the auspices of Anniruddhadev Cultural Trust and Mayamora Cultural Society.

Minister of State (independent charge) for Cultural Affairs Naba Kumar Doley, MP Rameswar Teli, several MLAs and host dignitaries from Mayamora Cultural Society were present on the occasion.
